Our Reverse Logistics service is WEEE Directive compliant
With focus on the environment; we have both ethical and commercial reasons to ensure our returned product process meets new legislation. When a product reaches the end of its life cycle it is important to make sure the disposal method is legally and environmentally compliant.
We understand and work in accordance with the WEEE Directive, so you don’t have to worry about it. We also offer a service that minimises unnecessary transportation of scrap stock to reduce multiple handling and storage.
Due to the nature of goods being returned and the legislative restrictions we split all products into two basic categories:
Category A – Hazardous Waste / WEEE
Appliances- Cooling and Heating, Electrical Fittings Fires, Garden Power, Hand Tools, Home Technology, Lighting, Paint, Power Tools, Radiators and Cabinets, Safety and Security
Category B – Non Hazardous Waste
Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Conservatories, Door Fixings, Flooring, Garden Buildings, Home Décor, Kitchens, Ladders, Painting Accessories, Plumbing Tiles, Wallpaper.
All condemned stock is then safely disposed of using Environmental Storage Solutions, a government approved third party supplier.
These are the steps we take to meet WEEE Directive guidelines. We also offer:
• Sale of goods to a third party for re-sale abroad, ensuring the product will be sold in locations that will not dilute current line sales.
• Donation to charities who use the products in under-developed or war-torn countries.
